Canada awards Iran short film

Mostafa Gandomkar's 'Alan' has bagged two awards at the Redline International Film Festival in Canada.

The film won the Best Director and Best Screenplay awards at the festival, competing with films from Denmark, Russia, US, Germany, Canada, Italy and New Zealand.

Gandomkar's short film has so far attended a number of international film festivals, including the 11th Jahorina International Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 14th Salento International Film Festival in Italy,

‘Alan’ is a short film about a Kurdish man in Syria who has lost his home and family during ISIS attacks.

Redline International Film Festival was founded as a passion project by Canadian indie filmmakers.

The goal for the event is to shine a light on the films and filmmakers that the mainstream media frequently overlooks.
